Public Art Sculpture

DURRELL WILDLIFE CONSERVATION TRUST

2023 Tortoise Trail

The Tortoise Takeover is an island-wide public art trail in Jersey Channel Islands to raise funds for Durrell conservation trust. Select artists were commissioned to design the tortoise sculptures which were then placed around the island for the public to discover.

In my design you can join Darwin on his voyage of discovery in South America. Travel onboard the HMS Beagle to find yourself on an adventure to discover a whole new world. The piece was created in a paper cut out style translated into pen illustrations.

This sculpture was sold for £8,000 in auction with all proceeds going to Durrell Conservation Trust.
